Step
Drill Bits
The
traditional Conical Drill Bits are made starting from
an HSS M2 steel bar through turning, milling and grinding
working operations. We select the best European steels
and through the most advanced vacuum hardening processes
we exalt their qualities giving them 64/65 HRC hardness.
The final grinding operation with relief is made by up-to-date
NC grinding machines. The Step Drill Bits are the best
solution to get holes of different sizes in the metal
by using one tool only, whether starting from a preexistent
hole or making it at the moment. The steps help to get
the right diameter more easily. If the recommended cutting
speeds are respected and lubricating oil is used the Step
Drill Bits last very long.
Stella
Bianca Step Drill Bits (whether HSS or HSS E-Kobalt) are
available in the TiN and TiAlN version, too. TiN Step
Drill Bits have a on a film of Titanium Nitride that makes
the tool very tough and its skidding on the surfaces easier.
TiAlN Step Drill Bits have on a film of Titanium Nitride
and Aluminium that makes them frictionless and prevents
the cutting edges from stoppage. Thanks to this feature
they are very good in working nonferrous metals, abrasive
and gumming materials.
They can tolerate very high working temperatures (up to
800°).

Stella
Bianca Step Drill Bits are available in three sizes, whether
in normal version, or TiN or TiAlN ones. In the table
below you can find their related using fields. There are
also available step drills with pitch 1mm (in six sizes),
that guarantee even greater precision and that allow to
make holes of each diameter comprised between 4mm and
60mm. Lastly, we manufacture PG step drills, for electricians.
If you need further information, please check our catalogue.
Stella
Bianca Step Drill Bits can be used with portable and pillar
drills.
