Traditional
Conical Drill Bits
The
traditional Conical Drill Bits (without steps) are made
starting from a HSS M2 steel bar through turning, milling
and grinding working operations. We manufacture the Kobalt
version, too, made starting from a HSS M35 Cobalt steel
bar. We select the best European steels and through the
most advanced vacuum hardening processes we exalt their
qualities giving them 64/65 HRC hardness. The Kobalt version
lasts very long. The final grinding operation with relief
is made by up-to-date NC grinding machines.
In the most cases the traditional Conical Drill Bits are
the best solution to get holes of different sizes in the
metal by using one only tool, whether starting from a
preexistent hole or making it at the moment. At a correct
cutting speed they can be also used with stainless steel,
thermoplastic, hard plastics, resins and wood. If the
recommended cutting speeds are respected and lubricating
oil is used the traditional Conical Drill Bits last very
long.
Stella
Bianca traditional Conical Drill Bits (whether HSS or
HSS E-Kobalt) are available in the TiN and TiAlN version,
too. TiN traditional Conical Drill Bits have on a film
of Titanium Nitride that makes the tool very tough and
its skidding on the surfaces easier. TiAlN traditional
Conical Drill Bits have on a film of Titanium Nitride
and Aluminium that makes them frictionless and prevent
the cutting edges from stoppage. Thanks to this feature
they are very good in working nonferrous metals, abrasive
and gumming materials. They can tolerate very high working
temperatures (up to 800°).
